Mimi, defiant

Yes. Maddie, defiant. That explains my 5 year old daughter to tee. This was my second finished painting done in Photoshop. I used a few reference photos, sketched and scanned. I wanted everything in the picture to identify with my daughter – from her defiant expression to her bare feet in the grass. The love of outdoors, and the love of dinosaurs (ask her what she wants to be when she grows up, and she’ll tell you, without hesitation, I want to be a paleontologist). This one took a while – but, I guess when you are painting someone you love – that’s just the way it is.
